Adrian and Jethro will be performing both of their albums in full at the Grace Emily Hotel, Waymouth St Adelaide on Saturday 31st March with very special guest Paul Vallen (The Trims). Paul will be playing a set of original tunes from the Trims back catalogue as well as joining Adrian and Jethro on stage for some special surprises. Free entry, show starts at 9pm.
Adrian Whitehead’s stunning songwriting lays bare the human condition and shines a light into the dark corners of our inner worlds. His long-awaited second album, Nerd from the Suburbs, weaves alt-pop and psychedelic influences into a sound as beautiful and disgusting as the lives he writes about. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Adrian has performed with some of Australia’s best known artists including The Badloves, Pollyanna, Even, Abby Dobson, and Liz Stringer as well as local Adelaide legends The Trims and Pornland.
Jethro Pickett and trio will perform his 2nd album France: a dark, spacial odyssey, bathed in the warmth of vintage synths, guitars, and honest storytelling. He’ll effortlessly combine melodic folk, indie rock, and moments of psychedelic pop. Having played European dates late last year, including Electric Picnic in Ireland, Jethro is taking his music around Australia for the first time in several years. His music is colourful and catchy, with a psychedelic pop twist, and a live show that never fails to enthral.
